Ceramic Brake pads Offer longer brake pad life

Ceramic pads also extend brake life compared to most conventional lining materials. Akebono and Raybestos both say their durability testing has shown significantly longer life with no sacrifice in noise control, rotor life or braking performance when ceramic pads are used compared to other friction materials.

This is what  bad brake pad can do to your rotors. Replacing your brakes at the proper time can save you hundreds in costly repairs.

  1. I agree. Being economical with your car is the best way to save money and not to mention having great performance and increased longevity.

  2. I wouldn't call ceramic pads an economy pad, but when it comes to brake pads, I assure you, you get what you pay for.

  3. Ceramic pads sound like the ones to get if you want quality and longevity. I honestly have no idea what type of brake pads my car have; it never occurred to me that there were several kinds.

  4. If you are seeing an excessive amount of black dust on your front wheels, most likely you are using metallic pads.
